My Etchings From Paris, 1978-1979" Freedom Of Choice / Choice Of Freedom " / Color & Black-And-White Artist Proofs : Enjoy
I did a drawing and then an etching from it as I was deciding in my mind to live my life always as an active and alert artist. Actually, I had already decided long ago to do this but had not perhaps yet put it into words. Here I visualize it and make it concrete. I was in my twenties living in Paris, France at the time in the later 1970's and I was etching at the work shop / atelier of William Stanley Hayter at Atelier 17 at 10. Rue Didot in the 14th arrondisement of Paris. What a wonderful period that was in my life. I still live it each and every day. Cheers and enjoy these etchings. More later, TONY
P.S. It's Saturday evening here at 7:16PM on September 24th, 2011 here in Cleveland Park Washington D.C. N.W. as I type this and get ready to post it. I will continue work on it tomorrow at home when I am not at work. Cheers et a demain mes amis.
