" Darker " Aspects & View Without My Flash ... the headline should conclude here.
These are not my best pictures as I was not using my flash on my Panasonic camera and so I will retake them and include them again with " more light ". In the meantime enjoy them for their more somber and " darker " aspects.
They create mood and I am also all for that. I did many of these on 8/8/09 - two summers ago at the Outer Banks of North Carolina where my family and I go for a week to get away from it all. Cheers and enjoy, TONY
P.S. I do these with watercolors and with oil pastels and I also use my nails and my thumbs to scratch away both watercolor and oil pastel to reveal what lies ultimately below with all this sharp upheaval and scratching/rubbing/pressing hard into the fiber and the sinews of the paper and watercolor and both the oil and the color of the pastels themselves ... nice, gritty, pithy, explosive and reflective on the elements at the beach each August that I love so much and which inspire to me attain new heights and new lows. Ahhhh yes! The only way for me to go forth each and every day ...
