What feminine grace and it's all art and wonder and beauty to me.
Here at the restaurant there were four waitresses at the time at Mano's restaurant in Green Point, Cape Town, South Africa in March 2009. These photos represent the two other brunettes that I saw and photographed at the time. They were all in shades of white and beautiful to watch as they moved with grace and efficiency around us during our wonderful lunch of fresh indigenous seafood from the ocean just there by us off of Cape Town. I loved it : all of it. I was entranced, really I was. Almost besides myself and not knowing quite what to do or quite how to handle all of this abundance of beauty, art, grace and feminine form all at once and everywhere that my eyes wandered in search of more. What to do? How to cope? Pinch myself: is this really all true or just a marvelous dream?!?
Trust me it was all very true and I very much enjoyed my meal, the two white wines ( a dry, mature Chardonnay and a vibrant, flavorful, edgy and crisp citrus and mineral Sauvignon Blanc ), the conversation of two artists and one wine importer and all the other customers and these four beautiful waitresses ...
Wonder of wonder of so many wondrous things ...
I hope you enjoy all these photos and the people captured within ...
So Much beauty, grace, fluidity, style, feminine mystique, whiteness and litheness : smiling and promptness and great service. All of this with great impassioned conversation and smiling and grinning all around at our table of four with three wonderful people from South Africa and you can begin to understand my quandary as I snapped these pictures repeatedly and tried to keep up with our conversation and absorb as much of all of this as I possibly could. It's a good thing that there was my trusty camera to help bring it all back for me.
And don't miss the art on the wall like in the photo below of the line sketches in ink is it? I should have walked up to them and taken a better look. Who's art was this on these walls? Is it the art of a South African? Enjoy ...
These photos record my quick milliseconds of the actions that unfolded all around me and that my eyes could see for this hour or more at Mano's restaurant in Green Point, Cape Town, South Africa in March of 2009 earlier this year. It is now Tuesday, December 29 th, 2009 at 9:22 AM here at home in northern Virginia as I add these last few pictures and post this third blog of what I call feminine art and grace and charm here on : chatart.blogspot.com. So many Greek goddesses here for my eyes to bathe and luxuriate in at Mano's : lovely.
I hope you enjoy this moment in time at Mano's as much as I did. Cheers, and Happy New Year to one and to all ... and good luck at the Soccer World Cup in South Africa next year.
Even was I was there in March with John there was a whole lot of buzz about the World Cup already. TONY
