These are two prints I made when starting to work at the@Atelier17at10Rue Didot of @WilliamStanleyHayter on May 6, 1978, a Saturday ( the one in red ink ) called “ Essaye de toujours garder des yeux d’un enfant “, the 10th state, #3, Ad the black ink one printed on May 28 1978, aSunday, state 10, Hayter’s experimentalplate tgateveryone had to do when working there
These two plates were done on zinc and theideawas to incorporate different textures to createa sense of space a three dimention. they were printedon lowquality paperavailable there to useat first.
Theseare bothgiftsI made, the one in red ink to my rother Eric Chisholm Quinn on his eighteenth birthday, ad tge one in black ink to my brother LawreceRichter Quinn. I love you both, you are great brothers.
