These are three pastel and oil pastel drawings I just did out of six inspired by Joe Cocker and his singing , his style, his facial moevements, as well as body gyrations that I remember that all informed and acted collectively to blow me away pretty much each time I saw or heard him sing, starting way back when At Woodstock In New York State so many moons ago : loved it all, will miss you Joe, cheers, TONY 12/ 22 / 2014
My last three of six mixed-media pastel and oli pastel blends that I did just now on Monday night inspired by the news of Joe Cocker's death in Colorado at the age of 70, as well as by the man himself and all the memories and recollections I have of hearing him sing as well as seeing him sing. I loved it, always struck me straight in the gut and squeezed hard on my heart, and floated and exploded my brain as well : LOVED it! Cheers Joe!
