Both Jody Jackman ( pictured above ) and Lauren Jones ( pictured below ) were in the store and both were wearing French red-colored ( like wine ) berets : what are the odds?!? I loved it and got into the mood rapidly and photographed them both as they tasted us on their current releases.
Jody Jackman of Winebow Imports was with the national sales manager of PINE CREST in the Stags Leap district of California and so it was fun to meet him and taste the current releases which included the " new " label for the dry Chenin-Viognier Blanc white as well as the " new " to me Chamisal dry slightly oaked Chardonnay. Thanks guys.
Lauren was tasting us on the current release of the STAGS LEAP VINEYARD'S Chardonnay and said that she thought that I would not like it so I braced myself. However, for what it was and the style that it portrayed it did it quite well, fleshy, bright, full and quite smooth on the palate : and most of all - balanced. It was fine. Thanks Lauren.

Nolan, another sales rep was there before both of them and tasting us on series of French and California sparklers and I invited everyone to taste them along with us.
