Sea Oats Stand Guard Over us & Protect Us, Too : Avon, Outer Banks, North Carolina, 1st Week Of August, 2009

As you can see I like taking pictures and this late afternoon on the beach in Avon the first week of August 2009 was no exception. I'm inspired/ fired by all of this ( including the wine bottles that become like glass sea oats there perched on the railing of our upper deck. I should have photographed the sea oats through these empty bottles. I will do it next year ).

I took pictures all around me as you can see by these additions that I just added this morning, Wednesday, September 10th, 2009. I will continue to add as I have more pictures. Enjoy these in the meantime. Cheers ...

I am just starting to download these pictures that I took standing on the beach in Avon, Outer Banks , North Carolina the first week of August, 2009 with my back to the ocean and looking at the sun that was thinking about setting and perhaps sleeping along with us later that evening?

I love the sea oats and paint and photograph them. They do protect us from intruders and alert us when there is possible trouble. I love the way the breeze moves them on the dunes.

I hope you enjoy these now as I add more and write more as the ideas and feeling capture my attention at the moment. I try and write them down immediately or at least remember them to be recorded here as soon as I am able. Cheers , TONY

It's now Wednesday morning here at home back in northern Virginia before I head to work on September 9th, 2009 at 8:37 AM ... it's cool and gray and damp as it has rained/drizzled off and on now through the night ...

How are the sea oats doing now in September ? How many people have headed down this week to enjoy perhaps even more peace and quiet ?

Enjoy, TONY
