Looking at Maria Argentina Vallecillo , her workbshe gave me in 1995 when I visited Buenos Aires and saw her and Cristina Piceda that I used to etch with in Paris. Maria wrote her address in my book as Sante Fe 3996 6 ( 23 ) 1425. Gracias Maria, makes me thibk of being onbanother planet.
Parts of the piece of art that my dear Argentinian friend Maria Argentina Vallecillo that I met and etched with back in Paris, France in the late 1970's at the Atelier 17 on 10 Rue Didot, Paris, France in the 14th, arrondisement, gace me when I saw her by wonderful serendipitous luck and chance with my other fellow Srgentina artist and etcher, Cristina Piceda, when on a wine trip with Nora Favelukes that worked then for Billington Imports, or with them, in 1995 and took us all on a glorious trip to Argentina, first to Mendoza, and then to Buenos Aires to see the wineries of CATENA and also of VALENTIN BIANCHI : wow, it was splendid!
I brought this gift of Maria back to northern Virginia, on the plane, I carried it, worth all the trouble, gracias Maria!
