My Week @ The Outer Banks, North Carolina, Salvo Drawing, Sketching, Watercoloring & Oil Pasteling : Got More Done Than I Thought!
It's a great feeling to realize that you accomplished more than you originally thought that you had done. I was thinking over the last two days in Salvo North Carolina at the interesections of Rampart and Colonial that I had done fewer art pieces than usual and it only was brought home to me my mistake last night when I looked through/ leafed through my sketch books! Yes! That made me feel better! I saw how many pen and oil pastels that I had actually done : quite a few. I have not counted. It's true that I did fewer watercolors but I can still do some of those on my second week week off which officially starts tomorrow.
It's Monday and I am about to go off for a check-up with my local doctor and then return to work some more on my art and enjoy this second week of my vacation. I am really looking forward to this and I know that I will accomplish quite a bit. I have already come up with many ideas on my drive home yesterday for new extensions and projects.
I will add pictures here as soon as I am able. In the meantime I'd like to say that I work immediately and in a very raw state where all the elements outside beat up on me as I work. I like being blown by the wind, having everything balanced precariously on the balconies from which I work either in direst sunshine or covered and protected somewhat from being on a lower deck. I still experience all the heat and the sweat of the moment and this past week in Salvo there has been plenty of all of this to go around in abundance.
Cheers, glad to finally be posting this now, as I just added these six pictures here, all seen as two each viewed together in my Strathmore Sketch that I started on Monday, August 2nd, 21 at 8:27AM in Salvo, North Carolina. There are many more to include here later , or to view later. Cheers, happy Thursday, May 21st, 2015 to you all!
