MORE FUN EVENTS 2012 Andy Warhol's Office Shadows-Inspire Series Of Painted Canvases For A Nightclub? On View @ Hirschorn Art Museum

I do not know why I have not posted this yet. I enjoyed it immensely, it opened my eyes as such experiences so often do. They are so physical, so tactile, so absorbing, and I gently or quickly get wrapped-up, absorbed in these moments, much into my own skin and thoughts - ruminations - speculations - as i think of where and why and what I am in-at - involved with, whom with - at these moments. ... Sunday afternoon on a gray and cold day today here in northern Virginia at home on March 23rd, 2014 as I find these pictures and realize that I have not yet commented or posted them. ..
Sometimes the responses and answers to the questions above are personal and in this case they are and so I will not answer them. What I will say is that it was a fine experience for me that, on some levels, I did share with another and I am thrilled to have that experience shared with another. It is something that we can talk about from time to time and remember.
In the meantime these pictures that I have taken take on a life all their own and I hope that they inspire you in some way. If you went to the show at the Hirschorn on the Smithsonian Mall in Washington D.C. then they may help for you to remember and relive your own experience. Otherwise they may make you want to see these paintings at some time in the future and perhaps go find the brochure on this show.
I think of Andy Warhol here, but, even more, of how his work may challenge or engage , stimulate and inspire others that are pursuing their artistic paths and that also may be gay - or not - and how Andy Warhol has helped them in this process?
Being an artist myself I am able to say that his work interests me less than him as an artist, a man and a person that has made his own place - carved out his own niche. Bravo to Andy! Cheers and enjoy these photos. Anthony ( TONY ) Quinn 3/23/2014
