It was nice to meet Jeanne-Marie De Champs of Beaune, Burgundy, France with Mark Congdon our J.W. Sieg local wine rep back in 2010 I believe? I have already blogged about Jeanne-Marie on my chatwine.blospot.com back in September 2010? Check it out.
Jeanne-Marie tasted us on some excellent Burgundy and Loire Valley French wines from her small selections of some of the best that France has to offer and that she sells through her company called Domaines Et Saveurs Collections.
This blog is not so much about these wines like the 2007 Rene Leclerc Gevrey-Chambertin ( I met them years ago and tasted their wines, dined with them and stayed in their hotel right across the street from their cellars and vineayrds. What a treat that was for me back in the mid-to-early 1980's ) red burgundy or the two wines from Chateau De La Maltroye. I liked the 2008 Chassagne-Montrachet. It's also not about the BB 2007 dry white Meursault-Genevrieres. That's for my wine blog. They were all excellent and very individual.
This blog is more about the artsy pictures that I took of Jeanne-Marie through my Riedel Austrian wine glass that held one of her white wines. I cannot now remember which as it is already Wednesday, June 1st, 2011 at 11:43PM as I type these words. I'm tired.
I loved this Hermes French scarf that Jeanne-Marie was wearing and I included it here in many of these photos. It was raining on this day and she was dressed to stay dry and warm. It was a great first-meeting and I am thrilled to have so many of these pictures to share with you all.
I think that all these pictures tell stories in and of themselves and I hope you enjoy them as a series here as much as I do.
I may write more time-permitting. In the meantime let these pictures and Jeanne-Marie work their combined magic and weave a spell on all of you. Cheers et a plus tard Jeanne-Marie. TONY
Oh what fun this all is : I love it. So enriching all of it.
