Olivia Bombart , Owner Of VOILA Selections Visits Cleveland Park Wines Wednesday, November 10th, 2010 & Tastes Us On Her Oregon Pinot Noir
Around tasting the two Oregon Pinot Noir reds from the 2006 and the 2007 vintages ( with much discussion about which one I preferred and which one Olivia preferred - I the 2007, she the 2006 ) I quickly snapped these close-ups of her.
Olivia was quite the good sport and let me get really close and up in her face as I snapped these digital Canon Power Shot pictures away within seconds and it was all done so that these pictures plus a few more that I will download soon will tell a nice story all in themselves. A lovely, peaceful, relaxed moment in time among old friends and new ones as we got to meet David the owner of his own winery that against David Lett's objections planted Pinot Noir vines on some eastern slopes in Oregon and has produced these tow lovely Pinot Noir reds that Chris and I were enjoying with both Olivia and David.
I love these moments and I love that I have my trusty Canon digital Power Shot camera ready and willing to help me capture and frame and preserve these moments-in-time that really help bring some of the richness and the ripeness and fecundity and promise and wonder and enrichment that they held and can and do still hold later.
Cheers David et merci Olivia : a la prochaine ; tu est toujour bienvenue chez nous a Cleveland Park Vins, Bieres Et Liquor-Liqueurs a Washington D.C.
You have to sometimes enlarge these pictures on your monitor screen and study them/ reflect upon and over them to get what they hold.
These pictures are of David's two vintages of 2006 and 2007 Oregon Pinot Noir in my Reidel Austrian wine-tasting glass held up closely to Olivia's face as I take quickly with my digital Canon Power Shot camera these images of her.
Funny, I never know exactly what I will get : how the camera will see what I see : but I am happy to work together with it becasue I always get some thought-provoking and often beautiful, rich, lush and amazing images as a result of this trust and this collaboration between me ( man ) and camera ( machine ). A binetot Olivia and good luck to you David. For more about David's wines go to : chatwine.blogspot.com as soon I will write that story and post those pictures of David and his wine with more of Olivia as well. TONY
