Enjoy these pictures : it was a very special moment here among friends at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits....
There was a liquidity and a flow and a warmth to this moment with Ken and Lindsay, Mike, Sarah, Ashley and the others that just happened to pass through the store at this particular moment in time ... I liked that very much ...
In the movie tonight that I started watching with my wife but finished alone ( called FLASHBACKS OF A FOOL with Daniel Craig I think my favorite line was towards the end of the movie. The lady that had just lost her husband described him as a very special man that understood himself and lived within his own limits like a child that was completely happy and living and enjoying each and every moment. She said that this was rare and to be really cherished. I agree : live and enjoy every moment hopefully un-jaded and with a youthfulness that speaks more to hope and promise than anything else. It's like a painter with a smile or a grin on his or her face becasue he has a virgin white canvas before them.
It's hard to say " good bye " to customers that always put a smile on my face pretty much each and every time that they walk through our front door at Cleveland Park Wines & Spirits.
There should always be an art to marking these changing tides or new chapters for each and every one of us. They deserve our attention even if only momentarily. It's nice to let the other know that you realize the significance of what has come before and what may now come as a result of the changes happening now.
I don't know everyone's name but I sure would like to know a little more about each and every one of our customers as well as at least their first names.
I like to take pictures that offer new and interesting and views and angles that stimulate interest and conversation whether spoken out-loud or spoken silently in one's thoughts .
You can see here that I love to photograph beautiful women. I am guilty as charged of this offense, though I hope it only flatters and shows one man's appreciation of beauty both inner and outer as I believe looking deeper than skin-deep, really ...
Here our departing friends are looking at one of the color oil pastels and watercolors that I did the first week of August in Avon, Outer Banks , North Carolina on vacation with my family. We enjoyed a lot of good food, wine and each others company, too.
I really do relish capturing these interesting angles and the reflections of light and through glass. I think it adds a sense of visual drama that is there in the wines we enjoyed from the MARK DAVIDSON ( both are $12,49 for the Chardonnay, Semillon & Sauvignon Blanc dry white as well as the red Shiraz ) Southeastern Aussie red and whites to the ENTRE MONTES La Mancha Old Vines 2004 Tempranillo dry, elegant red from Spain. ( $9.99 a bottle ).
I love capturing the people enjoying their wines through my wine glass that often has wine in it.
Of course I love capturing them without being seen through my wine glass as well as both types of photos offer different things that are equally important and hopefully seen and appreciated.
This was a fun moment where I took a bit more time to let myself relax and enjoy the moment that I shared with two of my good customers. As time passed here and we sipped this yummy, smooth, silky, deep red Portuguese sparkling NETO COSTA from Anadia I did finally share some of the rest of the bottle with other customers in the store. Enjoy these photos. I will add more here as I have the time. Cheers, TONY
