The first picture here is of me being silly with the red grapes up above Curly's winery HILLCREST ( Durbanville, South Africa ) that I took myself.
The others are of Curly at his winery pouring us wine from the barrels just besides the tasting room and gift shop/restaurant. There's also one of his assistant that handles a lot of the business at the winery, especially in sales and the gift shop to locals as well as visitors like those she had then from North Carolina, U.S.A. ( a couple buying wines to take back with them ).
The last series is of John Morrison and my visit to the winery BLAAUWKLIPPEN in Stellenbosch where we saw winemaker Rolf and two ladies there in charge of sales and marketing, Delia and Carolyn.
My new camera was still playing lots of games with me as I got to know how to use it better. Many of these pictures are in hues of pinks, reds, dark colors and silvers and grays! At least the color of much wine is red, so that is interesting.
Here are some of my more artsy photos that I took just a month ago in South Africa when visiting Cape Town and the wine country with my host/excellent guide John Morrison ( president of Boutique Vineyards' Collection with his wife Theresa Morrison. It was grand, hopefully these photos convey some of the magic/mystery/awe and excitement I felt while there from March 14th-22nd, 2009. Cheers, TONY
