ailers ( picture above shows Jean Gagliolo and me arriving in Baltimore, Maryland, March 4th, 2013 ) ... there at this animated function. I did recognize many people in the wine trade that have sold wine to me over the years. I also did not recognize many restauranteurs. I did see and speak in french with jean-Charles Boisset. That is why I went , to reconnect with Jean-Charles. Mission-accomplished. In this poursuit I also saw and reconnected with many " old " wine business pals and associates, as well as make the acquaintance of many " new " ones, too : always a good idea. Stay current and fresh, do not forget the past, share that with everyone : but always stay up with what's happening now and meld the two together into meaningful ways that benefit everyone. would have stopped to listen to the music but the special Barolo and red Burgundy wine-tasting was about to start! Cheers! ... ... Above is the pouring of all the wines, more people showed up, more wines had to be poured. Very professional. I LOVED all of this. Great pomp and circumstance in an elegant, polished, and refined way! Bravo everyone involved : you all did a great job.
I just would have LOVED to have seen a wine retailer like myself involved in all of this. ... ... Ahhh, Jean-Charles Boisset above gets the ball rolling. he's great at that. A real showman and knows his " metier " very well. Cheers Jean-Charles! ... ...
